Safe Work Australia advise that Thursday 28 April 2022 is World Day for Safety and Health at Work and Workers' Memorial Day. The day provides an Opportunity to reflect on how to prevent occupational deaths, injuries, diseases and illnesses. Victoria Police SHIELD Initiative
Based upon the NYPD SHIELD program, through its Counter Terrorism Command Victoria Police is the first police force in Australia to introduce a SHIELD initiative. The initiative is effectively a collaboration between Victoria Police and the Victorian private security sector sharing information in addition to education in protective security concepts and responsibilities.
