Please note that there was also a hearing on Wed 28 July 2021 that was missed and is not located in this update.  The next public hearing is to be held on Thursday 29 July 2021.

An Agenda of the hearing is attached.  Importantly, this will be the second hearing since the introduction of the amendment (first occurred on Friday 09 February 2021), and the transfer of the amendment from the House to the PJCIS.

Submissions and testimony will be heard from Home Affairs who will present its case with an appearance by the Secretary of the Dept, Mr Michael Pezzullo AO.

As with all Public Hearings, their session will be available on the Australian Parliament House network.
