Family Violence – We Must Act

Family violence continues to directly affect one in four Victorian women and is the leading contributor to preventable death, disability and illness for women aged 15 to 44 years. Family violence is deplorable and often involves violent, threatening, coercive or controlling behaviours.

The Victoria Police have released a Code of Practice for the investigation of family violence.  It is available at http://www.police.vic.gov.au/content.asp?Document_ID=43360
