CCTV Guidelines for Public Places
The CCTV Guidelines for Public Places was developed through the Office of the Victorian Ombudsman in 2012. It applies to all public sector bodies in Victoria including those secured through the private security sector.
Public places include public hospitals, shopping centres, street malls, sports or recreation centres, and government buildings including reception areas.
The Guidelines provide a succinct and very relevant explanation of what should be considered across public sector sites. However, the principles could be applied for any workplace to ensure privacy issues are adequately addressed.
