Liquor Regulator to Change in Victoria

The Victorian Commission for Gambling and Liquor Regulator (VCGLR) as regulator of the liquor industry is about to change under legislation recently introduced into the Victorian Parliament. Legislation was passed in the Victorian Parliament in December 2021 re-naming the VCGLR as the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC).

As an interim measure, the VGCCC will regulate the liquor industry until legislation is passed in 2022 transferring liquor regulation to the Department of Justice and Community Safety. More information is available through www.vcglr.vic.gov.au
