OVA and Risk Education Day

Occupational Violence and Aggression is well-reported as a risk for all public-facing personnel. Although there are many guidelines providing information on general methods to minimise risk, there is an absence of evidence on robust practical methods to increase staff safety.

Dr Tony Zalewski and Jim Snipes will highlight the prevalence and predictive factors for OVA and then explore methods that enhance the safety of public-facing staff.

Content includes defining OVA, methods for risk minimisation, understanding risk, implications of environment and design and practical issues that should be addressed.

This full day workshop will involve practical interactive sessions with skills practices that will ensure participants are able to conduct and introduce an effective anti-violence strategy for their workplace.
